👉  We are looking for an experienced Producer, ideally from the gaming industry, to join our team at Valo Motion.

In this role, you’ll be the person who brings structure to our game development process, overseeing multiple game projects from start to finish. If you enjoy progress tracking, resource allocation, and communicating the project goals clearly across the team while fostering a positive team culture – this role is for you!

What is the role and who would you be working with?

As the Producer, you get to organize the planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple game and development projects, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality games and critical content updates. 

Our projects typically involve 1-5 person teams, allowing for close collaboration and quick iterations. You’ll be responsible for organizing our game development pipeline, using your project management skills to balance big-picture planning with hands-on oversight of daily production tasks.

Our team operates in an iterative and collaborative environment, where you'll be responsible for organizing and leading sprint planning and retrospectives to keep workflows efficient and continuously improve processes. You'll also collaborate with other departments, like marketing, to coordinate product releases and ensure all teams are aligned with the game release schedules.

Your tasks include:

✅ Organize the planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple ongoing projects, ensuring timely delivery of games and updates while mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle by anticipating challenges and implementing solutions.

✅ Communicate effectively the project goals, timelines, and requirements to the development team and ensure alignment with the overall product roadmap.

✅ Keep the product roadmap on track by ensuring alignment of project goals, timelines, and requirements with the overall strategic direction.

✅ Organize and facilitate project planning sessions and team retrospectives to improve workflows and team processes.

✅ Track the progress of ongoing projects and report any bottlenecks or delays to leadership.

✅ Resource planning to ensure that resources are allocated effectively across projects to maintain balanced workloads.

✅ Collaborate with different teams like the marketing team to support product releases, ensuring all launch materials are prepared.

✅ Manage quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure the games meet our high standards before release.

✅ Oversee release management, ensuring smooth game launches and content updates.

✅ Foster a positive team culture while continuously evaluating and improving team processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Your team: You will be part of our skilled, creative development team led by our CTO Joni Vähämäki. Your “partner in crime”: You will be working closely with Joni to make sure the big-picture decisions are aligned with your organizing, scheduling, and resourcing tasks. Joni is one of the founders of Valo Motion with a creative mind and extensive knowledge on the game development side.

Critical knowhow that you’ll need to succeed in this role

Language & Location: Fluent in English and the ability to work on-site at our office in Helsinki (Lauttasaari).

✅ Strong communication skills: Excellent and proactive communication skills to facilitate effective communication and ensure seamless collaboration, particularly within the development team but also across departments as needed. Your communication skills strengthen team spirit and ensure every team member is actively engaged in achieving shared goals.

✅ Relevant Producer experience: Extensive experience as a Producer or in a similar role, with a strong background in the gaming industry being a significant advantage.

Project management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping them on track and delivering high-quality results.

Collaborative and organizational skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance the needs of different teams and manage project deadlines effectively.

Real-life game production knowledge: Strong understanding of game production and experience working with agile processes such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
