👉 We are now looking for a Hardware Support Specialist to join our team and handle hardware repairs and return processes.
This role balances hands-on technical work with process improvement, helping to make our repair and refurbishment operations more efficient. You’ll work closely with the Customer Success and technical support teams, ensuring smooth workflows and satisfied customers.

What is the role and who would you be working with?
As Valo Motion continues to grow, we’re looking for a Hardware Support Specialist to manage hardware repairs, warranty returns (RMA), and process improvements. Your focus will be on ensuring the quality and reliability of our devices, extending their lifecycle, and streamlining our repair and refurbishment workflows.
While the role is primarily technical, it also requires strong organizational and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with both internal teams and external manufacturers to resolve hardware issues and improve processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
✅ Repair hardware: Diagnose and fix hardware issues, focusing on computers. This includes replacing components like fans and GPUs and resolving hardware-related software problems.
✅ Manage RMA Processes: Oversee return processes with manufacturers, document issues, and track shipments to ensure smooth and efficient resolution of hardware problems.
✅ Clear backlog: Work through returned devices, prioritize repairs, and ensure valuable components are reused effectively.
✅ Improve processes: Help design better workflows for hardware repairs, returns, and inventory management to keep up with Valo Motion’s growth.
✅ Collaborate and share knowledge: Work closely with the Customer Success team and external suppliers, sharing expertise to solve complex technical issues.
✅ Maintain documentation: Keep accurate records of repairs, replacements, and RMA communications to ensure smooth operations.

🏢 Our office is located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, where you'll focus on repairing and maintaining hardware while improving our return and refurbishment processes. Your hands-on work will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, which bring movement and mixed-reality gaming to life.
👋 In this role, you’ll collaborate with Soren, our Head of Customer Success, and team members like Dan and Sebastian from our technical support. Together, you’ll keep hardware-related processes running smoothly and ensure our products maintain their high quality.

Critical knowhow that you’ll need to succeed in this role:
✅ Language & location: Fluent in English and able to work 100% on-site at our office in Helsinki (Lauttasaari).
✅ IT hardware expertise: At least 2 years of experience diagnosing and repairing IT hardware issues, including computers and related components.
✅ Problem-solving skills: Strong troubleshooting ability to quickly identify and resolve hardware-related problems.
✅ RMA process knowledge: Familiarity with managing return processes (RMA), documenting issues, and communicating effectively with manufacturers.
✅ Detail-oriented approach: A sharp eye for detail to maintain accurate repair records and follow structured workflows.
✅ Flexibility & teamwork: Adaptability to handle changing priorities and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
💚Bonus skills: Experience with AV equipment, a passion for electronics, or familiarity with tools like Zendesk and Asana are big pluses for this role.
